P640B Light Machine Gun |

The P640B is an electromagnetic operated, air-cooled, belt-fed, light automatic machine gun that fires 7mm caseless ammunition at 1700 mps (5100 fps). It has a maximum rate of fire of 1100 rounds per minute. Ammunition is fed into the weapon from a 10,000-round backpack containing a non- disintegrating metallic link belt. It can be fired from the shoulder, hip, or underarm position; from the bipod-steadied position; or from the tripod-mounted position. The P640B comes standard with a M100 IDF unit, the RIS, an adjustable electric trigger, and folding bipod legs. The P640B is the projectile version of the M270B Light Repeating Phaser, and provides the same offensive and defensive support for the rifleman
